This Privacy Policy explains how Calm and Move ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Pain Ease mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Pain Ease provides general guided exercises for wellbeing and is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any pain or medical condition.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and a Google account identifier through Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication.
App activity and wellbeing inputs. Information you provide in the App, such as the pain areas or symptoms you select, exercise sessions you complete, and related preferences. This may be considered health-related information and is used only to operate the App's features for you.
App settings. Preferences such as your chosen language and reminder settings, stored on your device and, where applicable, in your account.
Advertising and device data. When ads are shown, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect a device advertising identifier and related data as described in Section 4.
Technical data. When exercise videos are streamed, our content delivery provider automatically receives standard technical information such as your IP address and device type in order to deliver the video.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
To provide guided exercises and personalize the content shown to you.
To save your progress, preferences, and session history.
To send optional daily reminder notifications, if you enable them.
To display advertising that helps keep the App free.
To maintain, secure, and improve the App.

3. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

Google Sign-In & Firebase Authentication — account creation and login.
Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase) — secure storage of your account data and app activity.
Google AdMob — in-app advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Content delivery network (Cloudflare) — streaming and caching of exercise videos.
Device text-to-speech engine — spoken guidance is generated on your device and is not sent to us.

4. Advertising

We show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use a device advertising identifier and related information to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads. You can limit ad personalization at any time through your device settings (for example, Settings → Google → Ads on Android, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization).

5. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored using Google Firebase infrastructure, which applies industry-standard security measures. Some data, such as language preference and cached videos, is stored locally on your device. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Pain Ease is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
